The Motor Trades Association of Australia (MTAA) welcomes today’s announcement by the Australian Government to offer discounted loans for electric vehicles (EVs). This initiative marks a significant step towards accelerating EV adoption and supporting the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable transport system.
The MTAA has welcomed the Australian Government’s announcement it will introduce a new Franchising Code of Conduct (the Code), set to take effect on 1 April 2025. MTAA commends the Government for recognising the need for a fairer balance between franchisees and franchisors in the automotive retail sector.
The insurance and collision repair industries will be consulted on a draft update to the Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct (the Code), which is expected to be released in early 2025.
